One of our cleaners was telling us that she was scheduled by her previous employer to finish one job at 9:30am and start the next cleaning at the same time on a job some streets away. Physically it just was not possible for her to complete a clean and start a new job half a mile away at exactly the same time so something had to suffer along the chain. Some customers had to be shortchanged on timekeeping to be able to manage all the contracts within a given time frame.
Obviously if your premises required an extra cleaning job to be done one morning. Say for example
- your cleaner was carrying a bag of shredded papers and it spilled out onto the floor or
- the bucket of water being used to wash your toilet floor was accidentally knocked over
or anything unexpected like that could take an extra 10 minutes or so to clear up. The van would not be able to wait that long so another job on your premises has to suffer.
